The Telegraph’s Matt Law has written a piece said to be ‘the insider story’ on Theo Walcott’s reinvention in which he claims that the forward is aiming to become Arsenal’s hardest working player.

According to Law’s article, Theo understands now that at the age of 27 it’s crunch time and, after a meeting with Arsene Wenger, has set about improving every aspect of his game.

This includes going back out to run on the pitch after matches, going to London Colney to put in work on his days off and hiring John Terry’s former trainer, Bradley Simmons, which we reported on at the time.

He’s also apparently become stricter with his diet, no longer drinking much coffee or eating snacks.

Law claims that Theo is also seeing Arsenal psychologist David Priestly.

If everything Law has said is true and, let’s face it, it could be, Theo is in the form of his life and I’m truly overjoyed for him. He’s scored five goals in eight appearances over all competitions (two assists) and is playing with a newfound confidence.

Long may it continue.
