High Court backs private gender clinic’s hormone treatment for teenagers [Telegraph]

  • The High Court has upheld the Care Quality Commission’s decision to allow Birmingham’s Gender Plus Hormone Clinic, run by former Tavistock staff, to prescribe hormones to 16–17‑year‑olds. The legal challenge, brought by ex‑nurse Susie Evans and a parent, argued the clinic’s approval was “irrational” given NHS England’s ‘cautious’ post‑Cass Review approach, which does its best to block all treatment for under‑18s. Mrs Justice Eady ruled the regulator acted within a reasonable range of decisions.

The clinic does not prescribe puberty blockers and was rated “outstanding” for patient safety and care.

Trans Exile Network and Trans Advocacy and Complaints Collective rejects EHRC independence after Stephenson appointment [TEN] [TACC]

  • The Trans Exile Network (TEN) has joined the Trans Advocacy and Complaints Collective (TACC) in withdrawing recognition of the Equality and Human Rights Commission following the appointment of GC Dr Mary-Ann Stephenson as Chair. International bodies, including the UN and GANHRI, are urged to revoke EHRC accreditation, with the UK failing its human rights obligations and enabling the systemic exclusion and erasure of trans people.

The government announced Stephenson’s appointment this week, despite being advised by the Women’s and Equality Commission that she was not suitable for the post. It’s notable that none of the papers covered it.

Daily Mail puts blame on trans people for Ghislaine Maxwell being moved to a lower security prison

  • In her opening paragraph of an EXCLUSIVE about why Ghislaine Maxwell is being moved to a lower security prison not long after meeting with Donald Trump’s DOJ, Caroline Graham writes, “Convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell was ‘driven mad’ by transgender prisoners having loud sex in front of her, despite being behind bars for serving up underage girls to Jeffrey Epstein, sources told Daily Mail.”

Prior to this move to Texas, where she will serve her time alongside Theranos fraudster, Elizabeth Holmes, Maxwell was in a Florida prison, where trans women are generally held in men’s prisons and subjected to horrendous abuse. They could, of course, be talking about trans men, who would be more likely housed in a women’s prison, but we all know they aren’t because that’s not how their brains work.

Graham quotes her source who said, “The trans prisoners would have loud sex, out in the open.

“It drove Ghislaine mad. The grunting and noises kept her and other prisoners awake at night but the trans inmates didn’t care what time of day it was or who saw them. They would have sex whenever they could.”

Maxwell is, of course, being moved by the ‘just protecting children’ crew in a bid to stop her talking about what she knows about Donald Trump, Epstein and children being raped and abused on an industrial scale.

The entire piece smacks of nonsense being fed to an idiot Mail bigot to distract, badly, from what is really happening here.

SPORT

WDF bans trans women from women’s darts tournaments [WDF]

  • The World Darts Federation (WDF) has voted to restrict participation in its women’s and girls’ tournaments to those “female by birth only”, banning trans women in a ‘sport’ which frequently sees women play – and beat – men. The decision was, depressingly, backed by the majority of member nations. The WDF continue to blather on about their commitment to inclusivity and equal opportunity. The new rules are effective from 28 July 2025. Trans players will only be eligible to compete in open categories, with tournaments now divided into “Open”, “Women”, “Open Youth” and “Girls”.

World Athletics imposes mandatory sex testing on female athletes [Daily Mail]

  • World Athletics, headed up by the anti-trans Seb Coe, who failed in his bid to become President of the IOC, will require all female athletes to undergo a one-off genetic test for the SRY gene to compete in women’s events from September. Those refusing or found with a Y chromosome will be banned from the female category at future competitions. The rules, effective from 1 September ahead of the Tokyo World Championships, follow the governing body’s previous ban on trans women. It is yet another step targeting trans and intersex athletes under the guise of “protecting women’s sport”, raising human rights concerns over invasive testing and its impact on athletes’ privacy and dignity. With no trans people even close to participating in this tournament, you have to ask, ‘protecting women’ from what?

The last time this was attempted it had to be abandoned after ruining the lives of many athletes, none of whom were trans.

Northern Ireland launches gonorrhoea vaccination programme targeting at-risk groups

  • Northern Ireland will introduce a gonorrhoea vaccination programme in August, prioritising groups at higher risk, including gay and bisexual men and men who have sex with men with multiple partners or recent STIs. Gonorrhoea, now the most common bacterial STI in the region, is increasingly resistant to treatment. The vaccine, adapted from a meningococcal B jab, offers 30–40% protection and may help reduce wider transmission. It will be available through GUM clinics.

St. Lucia decriminalises same-sex relations in landmark court ruling [Advocate]

  • The Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court has struck down St. Lucia’s colonial-era laws criminalising same-sex relations, ruling that “gross indecency” and “buggery” provisions were unconstitutional. While the laws had not been actively enforced, they fuelled discrimination and violence against LGBTQ+ people.
